SwapTree

I’m pretty enamored with SwapTree, a trading service.  You can trade DVDs, music, books, and games.  The service is free (ad supported); if you use them to print postage, they make a few pennies as well.  I already sent out a DVD and will probably put several paperback books up there to see if I can get some more interesting reading.  If you try it out, let me know.

Could the death of the CD lead to a resurgence of DRM?

A post on Slashdot notes that CD sales continue to decline coinciding with iTunes becoming the third largest music retailer.  Could the end of the CD spell the end of music sharing?  Most shared music comes from ripped CDs.  While individuals can work to unwrap DRM protected music, that is clearly more compicated than ripping a CD, especially since ripping software is cheap and available.  Could the end of the CD lead to more DRM?

Listing of Canon EF Lenses

As I purchased XTi, I was searching around for a comprehensive list of lenses and reviews.  So far EFLens.COM is the only site that seems to provide it.  I purchased the 28-135mm “short zoom” for starters.  It should work well against the kit lens that comes with the XTi until I decide to purchase something more interesting.
